June 5, 2025 Is very very Important, let's know why -
Assalamu Alaikum dear reader,
To be honest, Yawm al-Arafah is the one day I try my best not to miss.
This year, it’s on June 5, 2025 (9th Dhul Hijjah). And even if you’re not doing Hajj, Allah’s mercy still reaches you. I always picture those millions standing in Arafah, tears flowing—it reminds me that I can be part of that, even from home.
✨ Why It’s Special:
The Prophet (SAW) said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah." (Sahih Muslim)
Fasting wipes away sins from both the past and coming year (Sahih Muslim)
It’s the day the religion was perfected (Surah Al-Ma'idah: 3)
Even scholars have said that Yawm al-Arafah is the most blessed day of the year after Laylatul Qadr.
☕ How I Prepare:
I keep my schedule light and avoid distractions
I make a personal du’a list with names and specific duas
I fast from fajr to maghrib and drink lots of water before starting
I spend time reading Qur’an and doing dhikr like:
“La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah…”
“Astaghfirullah”
“SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi”
Sometimes I also play a lecture about Arafah or Hajj in the background while I clean or rest. It keeps the spirit alive.
💔 Personal Advice:
I remember once I nearly forgot to make du’a at sunset, and I felt this wave of regret.
So now I set a reminder.
Even if your fast doesn’t go perfectly—don’t miss that sunset moment.
I remind myself: “Allah is listening right now”—and that changes the way I talk to Him.
Make du’a like you’re speaking to your closest friend. Just be honest.
Tell Allah about your struggles, your goals, your hopes, and your regrets.
There’s no fancy Arabic needed. Just your heart.
🌙 What You Can Do If You Miss Fasting:
Still make lots of du’a and dhikr
Give some charity in the name of the day
Reflect, stay away from sin, and do good
Days like Arafah don’t come often. I try to treat it like a rare invitation I don’t want to ignore.
